This story was created as part of a course taught by Mario Cams at the University of Macau. Known for its sturdy square shape and famous for being windproof, the US army provided its soldiers with Zippo lighters during WWII and the Vietnam War. As a result, durability became the core focus for marketing the Zippo. Today, Zippo lighters have become collector’s items and are sometimes sold for large sums of money or even faked.
