Hay Mohammadi and Nid D’Abeille were designed along Modernist ideas surrounding living spaces and French colonial ideas about educating the Moroccan population; the daily usage and lived experiences of its inhabitants adapted, appropriated and reinterpreted this architecture. The photo in figure 14 shows the Nid D’Abeilles in 2014. This is the result of lived historical processes which mirror the development of thinking and answer to the question of modernity or, in other words, how state and society should be organized. This is not linear and cannot be reviewed out of their respective historical, cultural, and political contexts as well as regional and global connections.
