Storyline
Sport of feeling
When you’re blind or visually impaired, sports cannot be taken for granted. However, rowing is the ideal sport when you can’t (fully) see, because it can be done based on feeling. Moreover, small adjustments and tricks ensure that visually impaired rowers are not that much more limited than seeing rowers.
To make this beautiful sport more accessible for blind and visually impaired people, I organize Rowing Blind together with a group of other students. Now, no less than 14 visually impaired people have rowed at the Royal Student Rowing Association “K.S.R.V. Njord”.
