Volunteers

There are several people who help in the boat. As mentioned, there are buddies, but there are also people who cox and coach. Lastly, there is the organization of the project.

In the picture, you can see my co-organizer Hannah. At the end of August 2021, the Rowing Blind Committee at Njord was set up and two months later, 8 visually impaired people and their buddies, the coaches and the coxes who started the project came together. The students do this on a voluntary basis and keep Sundays free to make this project possible, which is why they are absolutely amazing. Sometimes, there are too few people available to fill up all of the boats. Most often, the solution is quite easy: a member of the organization steps in to row, like Hannah does in the picture.
