WWI Shell Case Jug
Piece of trench art, made from a 18-pounder shell case and two 7.9 mm German bullets from the town of Ypres in WWI. Hand-made jug made by a British Army Royal Engineer Sapper Southgate whilst manning an underground telephone exchange in the Ypres district. It contains a number of engravings with references to his war experience.
