Storyline
Busy Bees in ‘Het Mierennest’
Community centers play an important social role: they are places where community residents of all ages and social backgrounds can come together. Over time, community centers have taken over the role of what used to be town squares: a place where neighborhood residents came together to catch up, have a drink or to celebrate. This community center at Morsweg 59 in the Transvaal neighborhood in Leiden, called ‘Het Mierennest’ (The Ants’ Nest), used to be such a place.
