Between City Villa and Student Flat
There are two buildings on the Morsweg that could not be more different from each other with respect to proportion and style: a city villa from 1903 and a student flat from 1969. One gives an impression of the pleasant pre-war Transvaal neighborhood of Leiden, the other symbolizes the vibrant student city that Leiden is today. Both students and neighborhood residents live here side by side. How does the constant influx of new students mix with this traditional Leiden neighborhood, and how have they mixed in the past? This is a story about students from back in the day and from today in the Transvaal neighborhood in Leiden.
