Pomander

The 4.2 cm high pomander, decorated with precious stones and has an enamelled flower-and-leaf motif. One of its functions is to show off. But the elaborate decoration of this tiny jewel, just four centimeters in height, also exhibits traces of Asia and tells of new riches carried overseas from across the globe.
