Franks Casket
The Franks Casket is a lidded rectangular box made of whale-bone, carved on the sides and top with scenes from Roman, Jewish, Christian and Germanic traditions. It was made in the eighth century in England and was found in the Auzon region in France by Sir Augustus Wollaston Franks. The casket is 10.9 cm high, 22.9 cm long, and 19 cm wide. The body of the casket weighs approximately 1,35 kg and the lid 0,5 kg, coming to a total weight of approximately 1,85 kg for the entire casket.
