The V for Johanna

This story starts with a patient register of the Binnengasthuis in Amsterdam. A simple item from the archives at first glance, but the layout, the names, and the stamps lead us to the hospital beds, halls, and lives of the patients. Among the names on this page, we find Johanna van der Meiden who was admitted to the hospital several times. Her profession came with great risks and this document is proof of that.
