This pair of shaman ritual bells is an object that can be seen in various places: in museums or on old paintings, but also in online webshops and Netflix-shows about both the past and the present. What does the fact that this object can be found in so many places tell us about its worth? We will start our story off by briefly describing a shaman ritual in which the shaman tries to contact a spirit, specifically in its place of origin, modern-day Korea.
