Story:

Honk Kong on a shell

story by Anna Grasskamp

Pearl oyster shells are native to Hong Kong, where they cover the city’s beaches. This particular shell has been beautified with a view of Hong Kong’s iconic Victoria Harbour. The painting stands in the tradition of workshop productions of similar views painted on canvas and paper in China’s Pearl River Delta area. This story is part of a series. supported and funded by: Research Grants Council Hong Kong (GRF 12603017).
