Help against the baby-devouring demoness Lamashtu

Sudden infant death, or crib death is an incredible tragedy whereby a baby dies in its sleep for unknown reasons. People have suffered the loss of young children like this from Antiquity to our modern day era.

While modern medicine offers different explanations and ways to prevent crib death, people nowadays still adhere to old traditions. One common tradition is to give children an amulet to protect them against the “evil eye”. Such traditions also existed in Antiquity, and this amulet is the perfect example.
