LB 892: A clay tablet with a mysterious message
The tablet collection of the Netherlands Institute for the Near East (NINO) in Leiden holds over 3.000 ancient clay tablets from Mesopotamia, Syria and Anatolia. Virtually all of them are inscribed with cuneiform script, but tablet no. LB 892 contains a different, mysterious writing, which has puzzled scholars ever since its discovery in 1897.
