Retelling the fourth novella of the sixth day
This is Chichibio, a Venetian cook in service of Currado Gianfigliazzi, who was a noble citizen of Florence. One day, on a falconing expedition near the town of Peretola, Currado caught a crane. Finding it to be young and plump, he sent it to Chichibio and bid him to prepare the bird for a banquet he was hosting that night.
