Mooing and mimicking

Looking at the picture, you can almost hear the "Moo!" coming out of the cow's mouth. And, who of us didn't try to mimic the mooing of a cow?

We humans can mimic many things around us: we copy sounds that we hear, we can dance as a swan, and crawl like a tiger. We also mimic things in people we admire: something in their walk, talk and gesticulations.

Now, because in Hamar society cattle make up such an important part of their lives - part of the family even - people mimic cattle as a token of the intimate bond between them.
