The middle register
In the central register we return to the realm of the divine, and just like in the upper register, the figures are turned towards each other. On the right are Horus the son of Isis, depicted with a falcon’s head with a royal cobra on top, supported by Anubis with the dog’s head, who is in the embalmer’s place. Notice how the two gods have a bull’s tail as part of their costume, which is shown dangling in front of their legs.
