The ways of death
The second part addresses a dead person, that is, someone who has already experienced death and therefore knows everything about dying and, in particular, about the dangers that lurk on the road to the other world.
For Egyptian Christians, as for their pharaonic ancestors, the passage from life to death was beset with frightening obstacles. Now the text asks a dead person to bring all these terrors upon Haron, the son of Tkouikira.
