Pectoral and Necklace of Sithathoryunet

A necklace and a pectoral. Found at Lahun in Egypt. Length of necklace: 82 cm, height of pectoral 4.5 cm, width of pectoral: 8.2 cm.

This necklace and pectoral were made during the Middle Kingdom, around 1887–1878 B.C. The pectoral is composed around the throne name of king Senwosret II. It was found at Lahun among the jewelry of Princess Sithathoryunet in a special niche of her underground tomb beside the pyramid of Senwosret II.
