There are several cylinder seal imprints visible (see the image for an example). These ‘roll-ins’ were made by the writer of the letter by rolling his personal seal through the wet clay.
By sealing it like this, the receiver always knew exactly who had sent the message, and could be sure the envelope hadn’t been opened in transit.
