This building doesn’t just try to fool you with this room. It has a breathtaking coffered ceiling as well, full of deceiving techniques. In this story, however, this wall is the main character.

And while we are enjoying all of the optical illusions in this room, also remember that, today, we still love artificial, or ‘faux’ materials. We decorate entire houses with them, using laminate flooring instead of wooden floors, concrete-colored paint instead of concrete, or fake tiles made of vinyl. We consider it beautiful and practical – laminate tiles last longer and are easier to clean than wood. There even exist stickers to make surfaces look like marble.
