What a colorful coat of feathers: a combination of black, orange and brown. While this study bird - or preserved animal - may be over two centuries old, it’s still in mint condition. Everything is where it’s supposed to be. It looks like nothing will stand in the way of letting this bird show his off his feathers.

But looks can be deceiving.

This specimen is completely fabricate. The ‘new’ species consists, among other things, of feathers from the piapiac and the pale-winged starling. A fake crow.
