Step 10 of 11

Aya, Daughter of Ipu

This woman is depicted with more detail than the other people in the scene. The less detailed depiction of the other people denotes that they were not as important as the larger, more richly decorated people at the top of the stela. This woman, with her braided hair, earrings and perfume cone on top of her head, looks more like the more important rich people in the upper parts of the stela. She presents offerings in front of the tomb and the hieroglyphic text to her right identifies her as Aya, the daughter of Ipu.
