The contour of the eye is too narrow, and the inner corner of the eye is not narrow enough. From the outer corner of the eye, runs a line in subtly raised relief depicting eye make-up. The ancient Egyptians applied cosmetic lines like that to protect and adorn their eyes (Fig. 1).

In old Egyptian art, the eyebrow and the cosmetic line are about the same length (Fig. 2). Here, the line is much shorter than the eyebrow. In the following steps, you can see how, apart from the measurements in the face, there also a couple of things off about the materiality of the piece.
