This is the story of a small academic institute during the Second World War, called NINO: the Netherlands Institute for the Near East, founded in 1939 in Leiden. The story is told by the current director of NINO: Willemijn Waal. Look around her office and read and hear her speak about the institute and its challenges during the war.
