Beard

Wahibreemakhet is wearing a braided divine beard. This beard identifies him with Osiris, the king of the underworld (see image). The inscription on this sarcophagus also identifies Wahibreemakhet with Osiris, calling him Osiris Wahibreemakhet. By associating himself with Osiris, Wahibreemakhet seeks to ensure life after death.
