This tiny fragment might not look very interesting at first, but it certainly is. It probably originates from an inscribed stela. It just so happens that on this exact fragment, the name of a very famous Egyptian town is preserved: that of Deir el-Medina, the town of the workers who made and decorated the royal tombs in the Valley of the Kings.
