Let us be completely frank here: we have no idea what this weird-looking figurine represents. It is clearly some sort of animal. It has stumpy legs, a pointed snout and tail, triangular ears, large eyes, and most peculiarly, something that looks like spikes all over its body. There is also a round thing with holes on its back. While the tail seems to be intact, the snout is broken off slightly, and has an opening, like a spout. We cannot be sure if the holes in the ‘saddle’ connect to the hole in the snout.
Some suggestions we have heard are pig, hedgehog, porcupine, ox, chameleon… What do you think?
