    This Minoan drinking cup looks like a simple object. Nothing could be further from the truth: the shape of this cup recalls the early times of the Minoan civilization, while the inscription shows the use of a script that was new at that time. However, this script, Linear A, presents us with a linguistic labyrinth, as no attempt to decipher it has succeeded yet.
