Delivering a fantasy

On this page is a shipment log. Some cloths are delivered by the dozen, some as ‘corge’: a bundle of twenty pieces of woven cloth. On the list ore ‘Sarongs’, ‘Kaen panjang’ and ‘Slendangs’.

While all of these terms are still used in the world of batik today, the cloths here are still nothing more than fantasy.
