Step 7 of 8

Hunting?

The third tablet is different from the other two: it is not pierced, and there are no dividing lines. Whereas on the other two tablets the pictograms are subdivided into separated ‘lines’ or parts, this tablet depicts one scene. On the left, we may see a human silhouette. It is not clear if this human sits or stands, for there is a crack in the lower left corner. The three scratches to the right of the human are hard to identify, but could represent a tree. At the right, we recognize an animal figure, presumably a goat. Although it remains guesswork what kind of scene is depicted on this tablet, some argue it is a shepherd with his goat, or perhaps even with a flock of goats, or a hunting scene.
