Step 3 of 9
Rowing buddies
We row in a so-called “C4”-boat. As you can see, the boat consists of four rowers and a cox. Two of the rowers are visually impaired and the other two are rowing buddies.
These buddies are Njord members and experienced rowers. Their task is to coach and accompany the participants during the training sessions. We hope for a personal connection between participant and buddy. This makes the dynamic of the group extra special, especially when participants who were a bit shy at first totally open up and a beaming smile appears on their faces. Rowing definitely is a teamsport and particularly in this form, trust is of great importance.
