    The year was 1876, when on the 23rd of November the famous archaeologist Heinrich Schliemann excavated a Late Bronze Age tomb at Mycenae. In this tomb the remains of a woman, two men and an infant were found. Among the grave goods in this tomb there was a gold scale with thin gold pans embellished with butterflies. The story of this scale will guide you through the funerary beliefs of the Mycenaean people.
